Default Speedometer variance?

I've noticed that when in cruise, my speedometer and the digital cruise control speedometer on the dash screen don't match. They are about 3mph difference. I have factory tires. It's not a huge deal, but thought I would see if anyone has a fix to sync them up.

That's normal. It's because you don't have a calibrated speedometer (like a police vehicle would). Analog gauge versus digital. If I set my cruise for 70, the analog speedometer shows up as 69. Not a big deal.

Sometimes mine is exactly the same. Sometimes the analog reads 1 mph faster than the digital. No rhyme or reason.

I would have the dealer take a look at yours. Perhaps there is a cure. I have heard some had their cluster replaced because of this.

The difference between the analog & digital gauge is in large part where the needle on the analog gauge is seated in my opinion. I've sold a lot of clusters where I seat the needle after programming and I've heard from people that when I seat it exactly on the zero mark that it is 1-2 mph higher on the analog vs the digital gauge. For this reason I have been seating the needle slightly below the zero mark on the analog gauge. I don't think a lot of thought went into making the zero mark actually be 0 mph as it is viewed by the driver in the angle the cluster is installed.
