Default special interior lighting

When I first started test driving new F-150s, I drove this 2016 Lariat that had some lighting effect inside where you could change the color of all these (presumably) LEDs in the interior. I don't even know what it's called. It's vague, but I at least remember them around the cup holder, but there were other places. It was new, so I assume it's done by Ford, but what's it called and what options, packages, trim levels include it. I think it was controlled on the screen.
Thanks,
Mike

It's the ambient light package. Let me review the order guide and I'll post more up in a bit.

OK, so I couldn't find my copy of the order guide, but the online shopping tools at Ford.com show the Ambient Lighting as part of the Lariat trim level - standard. That means it's available starting at the Lariat level, and is most likely also standard on King Ranch, Limited, Platinum, and maybe even Raptor.

Hope that helps!

It`s called Ambient Lighting and it comes standard on Lariat`s with the 502A package and any trim model above it.

Yep. Ambient lighting package included in the 502A. I love it. Here it is in mine. The door changes to red when you open it as well (as you can see on the opposite side).

The Ambient Lighting package is standard in 500A, which is the "base" Lariat trim level.

Thanks for the info.

I wasn`t sure if it was standard on the 500A but I knew it was on the 502A.

What about this:

Better pictures, insane price:

I would be interested in hearing if anyone has installed it.

Just for clarification purposes the F150 LED kit is not anywhere near the same as the factory ambient lighting kit, but would at least light up your cupholders.
