I bought a used 2018 f150 RCSB 5.0 and tried to add some fuel additive the other day and I couldn't get it into the tank. Just spilled on the side of the truck. Looking in my owners manual it said you need a special funnel to add anything to the fuel. Of course I don't have said funnel behind the seat. What does said funnel look like, why the special funnel and where can I find it? Dealer only??

 

I purchased one at Advance Auto Parts for around 3 bucks.

Amazon sells them. Just search Ford fuel funnel.

 

It's with the tools and jack behind the rear seat or wherever the tools are in a RCSB not sure. I bought a spare from Amazon to keep from having to dig that one out and smell up the truck. I keep in my garage.

 

Don't have one in the truck that I can find. I've had the while interior out putting sound deading mat in. I'll check advance or Amazon.

Why the special funnel?

 

I take it that you have the capless fuel system on your truck as well. I found my funnel IN the jack kit as was already mentioned above. It's not a bad idea to pick up a second one to keep from stinking up the truck after using it.

 

Special locking...only fits gas nozzles and funnel...2 lock tabs to open.....I tried the nozzle from a gas can ...it dont fit...lol...

 

And dummy me, I thought it was Fords answer to "GoGirl' feminine outdoor product. KM
