Default Sony Upgrade

I am building a Lariat Crew, 4x4, 5.0, .373. Should I do the Sony Upgrade?

Thx

If you get the 502a package, which includes many different things like LED headlights and tail lights, the upgraded Sony system comes with it. Something to consider

As far as worth it for a sound system by itself, I'd pass. Your $ is far better spent on an aftermarket one.

It's exactly what it is, a $550 stereo. It's better than the stock stereo system but not as good as an aftermarket system that would cost a couple grand.

Nobody can answer this for you, the value you place on the upgrade is dependent on your preferences, desires, and expectations. Best advice is to go in and hear the difference for yourself. Personally, the upgraded Sony is good enough for my tastes and desires. The HD quality is really nice, and I place a fair amount of value on the integration with the vehicle (steering wheel controls, etc). But you should decide for yourself rather than take someone elses word for it. If it were me I'd also go for the 502a pug.

Agreed.

Unfortunately, it is included in the 502a package, but otherwise I would recommend sticking with the standard system. Maybe put that money towards another option if possible.

No the Sony system isn't worth it for sound. But the steering wheel controls and the package make it worth it. At some point someone will figure out how to make it better.

A correctly working Sony system is pretty good. Definitely worth it considering the other things tied to it.

The 502a is worth it and that makes the Sony decision a lot easier at least IMHO
