My questions: What would be the benefit? More articulation? Why do you need that unless you are trial riding/rock crawling, in that case the platform is too big. Unless its a single cab short bed, then I could see it making sense as a trail rig. Towing or weight? in that case the platform is too small. And why leaf springs in the front, That's like stepping back a few decades just to get a trip to the chiropractor if you are going to go through the effort. Coil spring SAS would defiantly be the way to go in the front, not sure if there is enough head room to do it in the rear without compromising the bed though.
I know why the OP wants to SAS...the CVs, independent front, and the IWE/Hubs are weak links. You are right, the F150 platform is too big for trails. If I had a bottomless wallet, I would find an XJ, make it a pickup, and slap some 3/4 axles with long travel lift and lockers.

.
because all of the front IFS components wear out to quickly when you lift these trucks. I bought a 01 f350 and I own a 07 f150 lariat. I’ll be doing the SAS in the coming weeks

I think the first order of business would be ensure there are suitable frame mounting points for the leaf springs. My guess is that the frames used with the independent suspension set-up are totally different and may not suitable.
If that's a go, then it's just a matter of doing the design to account for the correct angles and lengths of your driveline components. Interesting project but not straightforward.
Been thinking of swapping my 18 f150 for a solid axle.
I currently have 37s on a 6 inch. Looking to move up to 40s but I’ve noticed some bad alignment issues with the rough country 6 inch. Wearing the front tires inside tread in less than 20000km. But I’m thinking a s.a.s would be the solution to go a bit higher while maintaining a good steering angle. But the only thing I’m trying to figure out is how to set up the power steering from electronic rack to a pump and gear box. Going to need a hydro assist I’m sure too.. I would be using coils in the front. I think the original poster was going leafs but the issue I’m thinking will be the steering .
anyone done this part yet or any ideas..
