So Happy!!
I picked up my new 2016 Lariat Sport this afternoon. Black Supercab with 502A, V8, Technology package and a few extras. Traded a 2013 Supercab V8, FX edition. I ordered on Nov 11 and it was produced on Jan 8, delivered Jan20 in Canada! Wasn't expecting it until Feb. I have been lurking around on this forum reading about all the issues for the last 3 months: cooled seats not working, heated seats not working, wind noise thru drivers door, Door alignment issues, heated steering wheel not hot enough, leather seat wrinkles and on and on. Had I not been reading this forum I wouldn't have been analysing all these features so critically. Had some trepidations as I drove off the lot as a result of everything I had read. After 10 minutes driving all I had to say was Wow!!. First off the truck seems so much better than my 2013, and I loved my 2013. The truck is tight and super quiet, no wind noise, no rattles. Cab noise is much less and the finishes are far superior. Heated seats and steering wheel are hot (haven't tried the cooled seats as it is -3 C), leather on seats is fine, not super tight and I suspect it may wrinkle, but if I hadn't been reading on this forum I doubt I would ever have even noticed! I am very pleased. Sync 3 is the best info entertainment center I have ever used, and I have used ones in Mercedes, Volvos and GM's. For any potential buyer that has been reading all the negatives, all I can say is that this is a great truck. So pleased with my purchase. To add just a bit of credibility and to reassure suspicious minds that I am not working for Ford, I will add one small negative. On my 2013 the gear shifter in the console indicated what gear had been selected. I am struggling a bit to adjust as the console no longer indicates the gear selected and I am forced to look at the Drivers Info screen in the dash. Not sure why they would eliminate the console indicator, but hey it is no big deal and I will adjust. I am a very happy man tonight!! And my insurance went down! Even though it is a more expensive vehicle - explanation from agent was that the vehicle had such a good crash rating...
it does show what gear your in.... on the shifter - the button that actually changes gears when you're in manual - hit that while in drive - hit the button (up i believe) and it will display the gear you are currently in...
I went from a 13 scab to a 15 screw and im like you.as much is i loved my 13 the 15 is way better! 5,000 miles and loving it! My insurance also went down wich i thought it was weird but ill take it! Lol..
Congrats on the new truck!
Keeping in mind, Ford sells about 70000+ F-series every month, these forums represent both the positive and negative "fringe" 1%, so keep it all in perspective.
Most of us love our beer can F150's!

It's very refreshing reading your post! I'm with you and think the redesign pretty much hit out of the park. My '15 Platinum is by far the best truck I've ever owned and driven. Some observations compared to my '12 XLT.
1) The ride and handling is almost nimble due to the reduced weight.
2) The technology is downright amazing!
3) Sport mode makes acceleration almost sports car like.
4) Remote start on cold days makes me say ahhhhhh. Nothing like having warm leather seats, heated steering wheel, and defrosted windows.
5) 4A is reassuring when driving in inclamate weather and a great alternative to 4H.
6) 5 star crash rating gives me peace of mind for my precious cargo if I'm involved in a accident.

Oh, and Congrats also... how about pic?
Notice how you talked about the console not showing what gear you have selected. And you get instructions about something else?
And the seats don't stretch in the first 24 hours, give it awhile,,unless they have fixed them by now.

Roads are wet and mucky. Can not take a pic when it is dirty. But soon.
Yes still confused about the gear selection on console (P, R, N, D, M) they are all lit white with no "red" indicator on the console for what position the transmission is in, There is clear indication on the dash display, but depending on the position of the steering wheel sometimes it is a bit obscured. I am in the habit of looking on the console when I move out of Park. As I said it is no big deal, just need to reprogram my habit of where to focus my eyes. Loving the truck!
