I have a button on my dash depicting a snow plow with an on or off function. Anyone know what this exactly does? I get a message on the productivity screen that it alters settings in the truck to better handle snowplowing.

 

When activated, it disables a few of the high-draw functions [since the activity of snowplowing theoretically puts a higher demand on the electrical system]

 

I believe the only thing it will turn off in an XL are the fog lamps..... but they are usually not activated within the plow wiring. I have it in a XLT and never use it. Check out the manual to see what else it turns off in higher level trims.
