I traded a 2015 XLT for a 2015 KR. I added OEM navigation to my XLT which is the same unit that comes stock on the KR. Oddly text messages were announced and read/displayed (my choice) in my XLT. The KR says that messaging is not supported with my phone.

According to Ford my KR's Sync is up to date and I am still using the same iPhone 6s. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I had that same message with my Galaxy S6 in my XLT. The thing is, it had been working. I ended up unpairing the phone and then repairing it and it's fine now.

Thanks, I'll try that. Hopefully it will work for me as it did for you.

Hey 71_340,

The text message feature must be turned on from the phone itself. Once the phone is paired to the truck, go to the Bluetooth settings on the phone. Press the blue "i" to the right of SYNC and make sure SHOW NOTIFICATIONS is swiped to on. For more info on this feature, check out this link: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-...html?sync=sync
