Smooth Ride
Hey guys
have a 2019 STX with factory tires and shocks, what mods have people done to improve ride in regards to smoothness? I know it is a truck and I don’t plan on doing a lot of off-road, just to hunting camp periodically
Thanks
Travis

Thanks for the replies, just want to eliminate bounciness when driving on these POS PA roads. Don’t have a deep pocket for mods as I am working on getting out of debt right now. I’ll try the tire pressure but then that opens another can of worms. Prior to my F150 I had a 2013 Fusion, 265K miles, I changed oil and rotated tires every 5K. Now the sticker on the inside of the door stated a certain tire pressure but I always ran with tire pressure on side of tire and I feel that contributed to longevity. I usually got 40-50K and even sometimes 60K on a set of tires. I always purchased 4 times at a time and will do the same with the trick now.

I am not far from your location to the south in the LH Valley.
Here is how I do the best I can for my passenger who is critical and has a medical issue with the back.
First thing is to get seat cushions with reasonable thickness to take up more seat shock.
Next is to set cold tire pressure so that in a few miles from cold starts, they get the tire pressure (up to) the 35 psi range +/-. This depends on average ambient temperatures between winter and summer, the road temp and how aggressive you drive. Monitor this on the dash screen menu selection. Once set up it does not change much for pressure range much more than about 4 psi..
Now have a new set of Firestone LE3 that has also made a small difference with the extra new rubber after going over 70k on the oem Goodyears, on my 2018.
I drive most of the time in ECO shift mode to soften the shift points for the passenger.
Good luck.
