Default Small Engine Bay Mod - Raptor Engine Cover

So a while back, I bought a Raptor engine cover because I read that it fit 2015-2018 engines. After I got it, I found that it doesn't fit 2015-2016. I assume it would for 2017 and up.

Anyways, it was like $60, and not worth returning, so i decided to pull off the metal plaque and bend it to fit my engine cover. Came out really nice and only took about 10 mins. Used double sided automotive tape. Goes nicely with my raptor steering wheel and door sills.

I have been wondering if it would fit. Thanks for doing the leg work and posting the results. What is the main problem with fitment? Also, I wonder if the badge could be purchased separately.

The 17s have 2 bolts that hold the cover. Ours, as you know, don't have any; it just pops into place. I tried making the engine cover fit and it wasn't happening. Also, I thought this was interesting...the raptor cover is pure foam! The whole thing. This metal plate was stuck to a plastic backing that was riveted through the foam. I just used a plastic pry bar to peel it off. It's super thin pressed metal.
