Default Slow start?

Quick question,
This is my first Ford, had a Tundra prior to this truck.

2017 STX 2.7L EB

Almost every morning after my car sits all night, when I go to start it up, it sounds like it almost struggles a little bit to start. I'm talking about my very first start of the day. After this initial start, it starts fine the rest of the day.

It takes a second or so longer than it would when I have been driving it around all day. It still starts up every time and drives fine, but the fact that it takes a second longer is a bit concerning. Maybe its just how the EB engine is? I've never had this problem with my Tundra.

Any feedback would be great, thanks!

I haven't noticed a slow start on my '17 XL 2.7. If I remember in the morning (which is highly unlikely) I'll see if it seems slow.

Haha I feel you, I tried to remember to take a video this morning but forgot.

Its not like extremely slow but there does seem like there is a slight struggle.

Colder engines take a bit more than warmer engines?

I'm trying to understand what you mean by slow start. Do you mean as in the battery is struggling? or the engine?

Not sure if you have PB or key start. With these trucks, as you may know, if you have key start it is not necessary to hold the key in start position. You can just turn it to start and let go. Sort of the equivalent to pushing a momentary button.

Your Tundra was a V8 and you're used to the sound of the speed of the starter turning in that truck. The V6 is going to sound different (slower) but there is nothing wrong. As a matter of fact the starter in the 5.0 sounds different (similar to your Tundra) than it does in it's V6 brothers.

Maybe the intank fuel pump is not holding pressure over night?
Or maybe some other valve is leaking and letting the pressure drop?
My Jaguar have a hard/ long crank after setting
I replace the fuel pump housing in the tank it has a valve to keep pressure in the fuel system.

lol the 3.5 does seam like a slow start on the morning. but since it is the same on a 14eb and a 17 ebho i figure it is normal. first start in the morning @7:35 seams to turn over about a sec longer then the afternoon start.
