Has anyone painted they're skull caps? Mine on my XLT came in the black plastic, been thinking about painting them.

I bought a set of PTM caps, but there was someone on here recently that did this. I think he painted from the textured black to white. Used duplicolor and a gloss maybe?

I also saw someone accomplish this is the "Member's Build Section". I believe he sanded, primer, sanded, primer, sanded, painted. They came out really well. Although almost anything is better than the textured plastic.

Side mirror caps. Some are plastic, some are matched to the trucks paint, some are chrome.

I'm thinking about it, but I can't decide whether I should match them race red or swap for chrome ones, since there's already a LOT of red on my truck.

If I was to do it, I'd sand, shoot some adhesion promoter, high build primer, sand, high build primer, sand, and then spray with a factory match aerosol can. Usually can be had pretty cheap, my local place can give me a spray can of factory match paint for about $20 or so.
