Sounds like you need a different dealer/ service department.

Apparently you don't understand Ford DOES NOT own or operate the dealerships. Each dealership is an individual franchise, owned by an individual. Your problem is with the franchise dealer, not Ford.

Look for another dealer if you don't trust the service department of your selling dealer. You have no obligation to go back to that dealer.

Smile Fixed!

I finally got around to going to another dealer and going over the history of my problem. The parts department checked availability and the service manager authorized them to order the part so that it would be there when I went in for an oil change. They put the new antenna on and glory be, it worked! Finally. Now I just need to find out why Ford pulled the Sync 3 update for Apple CarPlay......

Thanks guys for all of the help this forum gave me.

Thanks for the SSM on this issue. My service department wasn't aware of it so I provided it. Did not have to do any diagnostic or anything and was approved for the replacement last week.

Install took awhile because they said they had to pull the headliner down to get to the antenna. They said they do a reseal of it on the replacement, but will see when it rains or I wash my car next time.
Only issue at the end is one of the clips for the pull handle on the A-pillar broke when they were putting it back. I think it's just a cover but they are going to order part and replace.

No "signal reacquire" messages so far on the unit since the replacement.

Special Service Messages

45710 2016 - Expedition/Navigator, F150, Mustang, Transit, And Taurus - Sirius Satellite Radio - Audio Cuts Out/No Signal

Some 2016 Expedition, Navigator, F150, Mustang, Transit and Taurus vehicles equipped with Sirius satellite radio may exhibit an intermittent concern where the audio cuts out and the radio display reads no signal. Engineering is currently investigating this concern. Since this may be cause by multiple factors it is recommended to follow normal workshop manual diagnostics at this time. However, do not replace if clear root cause cannot be determined. To assist with the investigation use the Report A Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of the Oasis report and submit a Global Concern Report (GCR). Continue to monitor OASIS which will be updated with status on this investigation.

Hi, my 2014 F150 FX2 has this issue. Untill Ford solve the problem I use my Android phone with the Sirius XM app and bluetooth Sirius XM via Pandora. Works very well with no drop outs ! Jeremy
