The Sirius on my 2018 Sync 3 system is lately updating a lot, 2-3x a week. This seems excessive, anyone else noticing this or is it indicative of a system problem? Also the control to switch stations is slow to respond when it first cues up,

 

I think the updates are changes in channels. With the holidays and football bowl games I'm sure channels have be changing

 

Yours has been updating more than usual also?

I have noticed this too. I have no idea why it’s happening, but it’s kind of annoying. I’m almost halfway to work before it completes the update and starts playing music.

 

I have a 2016 and have not had Sirus since new and i see the update also. I just ignore them.

 

Mine has updated 3 or 4 times over the past 2 weeks.

 

I've noticed this as well. It seems like every day when I get out of work (6 AM), I get into the truck and Sirius is performing an update.

 

Sirius is just updating their channel line up, this can be adding/deleting a channel or renaming a channel. Seems sync downloads the whole channel structure from the satellite data stream. Ive had other radios updating, not just Ford. Some radios will do it in the brackground.

 

Yeah its been updating allot. Changing channels back from Holiday music etc.
