Default Sirius

Wife really likes Sirius, I think it's OK. I can deal with the discount pricing they offer, but it seems really hard and a pain in the but to just say yes I still want it, but not if you triple the price in a few months.

Has anyone had any luck with this and figuring out when the best time to renew [or expire and re-do] to get decent long term rates with minimal effort?

Call and ask for cancellation agent, this will trigger a better discounting conversation. The music side can be had for $129 per year. Travel and traffic will not be discounted and will be in addition to the $129.

Yeah just set a calendar reminder in your phone or equivalent to call two weeks before renewal. I haven't paid more than $60/yr, the $129/yr mentioned above would be a non-starter. Their ability to offer certain prices varies on who you reach/when you call, I sometimes get $30/6 months and sometimes got $60/yr. That was for Sirius Select I think? Don't remember the package names. But it got all music channels + howard stern and that. Did not offer streaming, but that was useless for me.

Yeah, neither of us care about anything other than the basic stuff. I'd love to get one that puts it off for a year. I think my reminder date was off a few hours, so probably screwed now as I just got charged for 3 months of service at the rate I was paying for the last day or so

It does depend on who you talk to for sure. Like all good Canadians I pay higher than you folks for just about everything. I think I am 40-50 CAD for 6 months. Full pop is horrendous though and I would be listening to my phone. If I had to listen to the idiots on our small town crap radio stations every day, I am not sure if I could take it.

I go through this every year with them...Just keep holding out and tell them that you want to cancel until they put you through to the retention department. I got my wife the All Access and the Select for me, for the same price last time around. Both were $120 for the year. It's expiring in November, so I'll knock them both down to Select, since you can stream online or via the phone app with that package now.

They called when my 3 months free trial was done and I told them I wasn't interested. I get a letter in the mail and an email weekly offering 12 months at $4.99 a month. They will work on the pricing if you tell them you no longer want the service.

its just part of the hoop jumping game to save some coin. I do the same thing with comcast every year when whatever "deal" runs out.

Default Best Offer

The best offer must use an AT&T model, i.e., not valid for existing customers.

So, nothing available as my radio is still active
