Default Simple help with ford pass

So I see ford pass has been upgraded. But I just changed oil, and I cant see anyplace to enter that info.

Online help is worthless, and I dont want to chat with a computer.

Can someone point me in the right directiom, in how to update oil change date?

Thank you!
Dave

Mine gets that data from the truck. Are you entering that manually?

The truck says oil quality is 100%, but I need to enter the date and mechanic that changed the oil. Used to do that entry manually.

Oh - interesting. I was not aware this was ever even an option. Not sure what use it would have.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but when you reset the oil life monitor in the truck, it just sync's up with the app, no? I've never once had to manually input anything.

Well, the app is used for (by me) to keep records of who did the work, date, milage, etc.

At least it used to.

I would hate for ford to deny coverage because I did not change oil often enough. I try to do it every 3k miles.

it’s still there, just moved, for me it’s under Service, then Service History. I’m running the latest version, it’s updated regularly

This only shows service history if done by a Ford dealer.

If oil change history ever came up, you only need to show basic information that it was done. Like an Amazon receipt for the oil, for instance. The fact that the OLM is reset is almost always enough for them. And I believe if that is not enough for them, the onus is on them to prove you did not change the oil.

You just need to change the oil when the oil life monitor says to, and reset it to 100% in the instrument panel menu when that is done. That's it. You are never ever going to be asked for oil change records in regard to warranty work, unless you never ever change the oil and that causes a problem which would be very obvious. And 3K is way too often unless you're using your F150 as a full-time Uber or something.

On my Android app, I can see Service History records including the local dealers as well as entries that I have made but there is no way to add a new service record on the app. I asked about this in the App store and was told that functionality would be added back in a future update. Still hasn't been added. You can log into your Ford account on a desktop and add service records that way.
