Shock length different on each side

Default Shock length different on each side

Maybe it is just me. I installed a set of fox shocks a while back and didnt think anything of it at the time but. Was bored today i measured my shock shafts on each side beacause they did not look even i was right.my driver side rear shock i only have 3 1/2 inches showing and on my passenger side i have just about 5.i measured the bump stops i have 4 3/4 on each side i am on flat ground something doesnt seem right

I don't know if you noticed, but the rear shocks are located differently than previous years. On my 14 both were in front of the axle, but my 16, the right is in front and the left is in the rear. Maybe that explains the different lengths? From what I have been told, the 14 and 16 both take the same shock.

yup i noticed.what im concered with is if it bottoms on that side its not going to hit the bump stop its over a inch diffent i am willing to bet it got bent some how

My driver side has 2" less of exposed shock shaft. Has to be the upper mounting locations.

6" exposed shaft on passenger
4" exposed shaft on driver

That is odd, so your saying you have more travel than exposed shock rod. That doesn't sound right.

Hold on, is that shock shaft you can see, or shock length total? If they're the same part numbers I'm skeptical that they're different lengths. Something doesn't quite add up.
