in service date
Searched the forum but cannot find out how to get my in service date. Trying to determine when 3 year bumper to bumper part runs out
Tried phoning Ford and the dealer but got tired of being on hold for what seems like forever. Bought my truck used.
Thanks for any help

Mine was in my Ford Pass App.
ford pass, then select service, then warranty, then at the top will be warranty start date which is the in service date.
or…call zeigler or flood and they can tell you

Often that info is somewhere in the ream of paperwork you get when you sign your life away. Not always though. If you have a window sticker you can get a very rough idea of when it went into service by looking at the build date. Or the same info on the door post sticker. Not exact, but ballpark. Just sayin'.

pretty sure in service was the first day it was sold….first day it was put into service. At least that’s how my dates matched up on the new one I bought…so the warranty isn’t slowing going away if it takes a while to sell
FYI If your unit was used as a "demo", the warranty start date could be earlier: This is from Edmunds.
Check the warranty date: Ask the salesperson to provide proof of the "in-service" date, which is when the warranty begins. The in-service date is usually the date when the buyer purchased the car. But the in-service date could be earlier if the dealership uses the car as a demo. Unless the dealer extends the car's warranty, the buyer misses out on what could be months of coverage. If the warranty has already started to run and the dealer isn't willing to extend it, ask for a lower purchase price.
