Default Sensor Problem?

I have a 2015 Fx4 ecoboost with 64k miles. I now get 3 error messages Service Advancetrac, check brake system and hill descent control Fault. The ABS, Parking brake, and traction control lights are all on. This happened randomly over the last few weeks and would just go away. Now it won’t go away. The scanner isn’t pulling any codes. I’ve searched the threads and found issues with steering racks and whee hubs. Obviously I’m just out of warranty so I’d rather not go to the dealer. What’s. Y next step to diagnose what to replace or check without just throwing parts at it? Turn signals work fine.

From how some other manufactures do things like my GX470, when all those lights come on its a bad wheel speed sensor/ABS sensor most of the time--just that one sensor will throw all those lights cause they are all tied in.......this is my "Guess"

Yeah that makes sense. Anyway to diagnose which wheel sensor and is there a way to test them?

I had a similar problem with my wife's 2007 Focus. I hooked up my laptop with Forscan and it showed me which wheel wasn't reading. It even showed the speed of each wheel and the one that wasn't reading, along with hints on what to check for. I replaced that sensor and still had the same problem.. So I switched the problem side with the good side and problem didn't switch sides.. Turned out that the wires where they went into the frame had been cut.. Splicing the wires fixed the problem.. But it was very hard to find where the break was so look and pull and look again to see if maybe you have bad wires, and try switching sides to see if problem follows the sensor or stays in place.

There is a code but you will need a more advanced scan tool to read all the modules in the truck. These fault codes are usually found in the ABS module.

Take it to pepboys or a local auto store and use their OB2 reader, it may pull the codes!

I have a friend with a 2013 Kia Sorento, and it started doing the same thing. The lights do go off intermittently.

Same issue on our 2013 Plat F150, has 269K. After lots of data mining, We have learned that our independent shop will charge 180.00 for a scan and est vs Ford dealers 240.00. Looks like possibly a wheel speed sensor, torque converter, ABS module or the brake pedal switch under the steering wheel. Will my OBCII scanner is weak, cant, see the codes in the ABS module, so there's that. Most likely my indy shop will get the fee to do the scan and see what might be the logical explanation for the codes the computer is generating. So loved the truck, not sure if it's time to shop for a Toyota or GMC yet, but that could be an option coming. This F150 was way comfortable and I enjoyed it bigly. But with the high milage and issue's becoming more frequent. The party might be coming to and end with this f150.

FOR EVERYONE:
These cabin notices as stated above, cannot be seen with a low end Scanner that only reads P codes.
The area in fault is on the Body at some location, therefore will be a B, C, or U code.
.
A lower cost Scanner or Reader will not read those codes because they are not related to the Engine/Trans operation.
Good luck.

Even though this post is dated, it's still very relavent to my own situation. You see the 2013 f150 platinum I bought off a car lot with 266k, was a risky purchase. I was impressed with truck and all the cool features and bought it for a work truck. So things were great until 2024. I then had my introduction to this combination of column dashboard warning lights. Honestly they all came on at the same time, ABS, Traction Control, Hill Decent, Anti Swerve, Wrench, Check Brake system and probably a few more I missed. I drove her for a few days and decided to take her to an independent shop as opposed to the local Ford dealer, thinking it would save some money. Well after spending $280.00 on some diagnostic evals. I was shocked to see the damage and corrective action (Parts Labor) proposed. I mean 9k+ for repair was just "Wowzzzzz'a" So I told the shop I had to think about it. I paid the base diagnostic bill and took her home, after capturing all the data thier computers were seeing on this partticular f150. So looking at the data directly it looked like the ABS Module was picking up errors and they could be a number of thing. The shop wanted to R & R the entire ABS Mudule Assembly, yeah the HCU (Hydraulic Control Unit (Pump) . This meant DQ'ing all Brake lines, power bleed, etc, Um the entire assembly and labor was around 3 or 4 k. Long story short, I removed the electrical portion of the ABS Assy. Sent to a fefurb vender, they opened it up test the board chips and fuctions and resealed it with out flashing the "As Built" configuration, due to it being the orginal Vins unit. So 2 weeks ground shipping (should have spent more on Priority Shipping) 1 week on the bench waiting for chips and it was rebuilt and sent back to me. I reinstalled it after all this and 2 miles into a test run all the lights were back on. So okay, ABS board R & R might have been excessive. I should have R & R'd the "Wheel Sensors", all four (4) of them, instead of the actual ABS assembly parts as the board could possibly not be the problem. Should have parts soon, then I will post the outcome good or bad.
