Returned my 2016 f 150 EcoBoost to stock with the x4 scanner now truck won't start and I get a error code 11020 anyone else come across this or heard of this before?

 

That error code is a vehicle communication issue. Try updating the firmware on the X4 and try again.

 

The scanner won't even pick up the VIN number for the truck even says ecu is not detected

 

What happens when you connect it to your PC and launch the update utility?

 

Just talked to Sct Support and they said not to update it they will walk me thru it they need to pull some files off the tuner to see what went wrong and create a recovery file, just sucks because I have to call out of work to get this done. Or I can flash my PCM and that will fix it

 

SCT has been having a horrible time with their devices as of late.

 

Who do you recommend using? I'm done with them.

 

Did you end up resolving this and if so, how? I have exactly the same issue right and my truck is sitting there like an expensive pile of metal, rubber & plastic.. Ugh.
