Default SCT or Ngauge Tuner?

I'm planning on purchasing a tuner soon and I'm torn between the SCT BDX and a Ngauge. I realize the SCT tuner is a few hundred dollars cheaper than the NGauge, but I really don't know if I should drop the extra coin. This will be the first vehicle I've ever tuned. Here is what I'm wanting to do with it.

1) I'm planning on getting the tuner from 5* with a few custom tunes.
2) I'm wanting to be able to re-program my speedo due to bigger tires.
3) I don't want to leave a tuner plugged into the OBDII constantly. I want to tune it and put it in the console.

I've decided to get 5* custom tunes because of there tunes for live program, and I may be making upgrades down the road. Any input would be appreciated!

I went with SCT and 5* and everything has worked reliability. Only real advantage Ngauge offers is the ability to use other tuners if you want to try someone else. SCT isn't always used by tuners like Ngauge is. I kinda wish I had a Ngauge but kinda glad I don't because if I did I'd be spending more money just because I'm curious about Oz tuning Omega tune. Nothing wrong with my 5* tunes but I'd like to see if Oz's Omega tune lives up to the hype.

Did you get the canned tune from 5* or did you send data logs and get a custom tune?

A little more accurate is nGuage is discontinued. HPTuners is still in business.

I have nGauge for monitoring, definitely a must for must if you like monitoring your tune or just the engine without needing a laptop in the car.

I've had revisions done but haven't sent a data log. Its on my short list. I'm quite happy with my E85 performance tune so not sure how they can make it better but when I get some time im gonna play around with it.
