“S” on tailgate

“S” on tailgate

I recently bought this truck and noticed a small “s” letter in the lower left hand corner of the tailgate. Doesn’t look like anything the previous owner would’ve added since it’s so small. Does anyone else have this on their tailgate or know what it means?

Judging from the location of the "S" I would say it was a dealership name that was removed....except for that lonely little s

That’s what I thought too. Very strange since it’s so small. I bought this at CarMax and had them remove their logo and there’s no s in CarMax. Oh well.

May be part of the city name, most times the dealership is one size with the city they are in a smaller size.

True. I was also thinking maybe had to do with an auction. I know they mark windows sometimes. Either way, I was checking to see if it indicated a feature on the truck. Looks like it’s unique to mine.
