Default Rusty Rotors?

Has anyone seen this before? My rear rotors have rust rings around them. Truck has been sitting more often than not lately due to everyone being at home. It's a 2019 with 25k kms on it.

This pic was after a few good drives to see if they'd shine up. Some went away but as you can see alot remains. Braking feels good, no weird feelings or noises.

Thats a 2019???

These factory rotors are crap! Looks like a bit of crazing too...

Soon as my factory rotors are shot I replace them with high carbon rotors.
You should look into a set.

Now I know what you're thinking...you're going to go to ford and show them this and think that they will cover it under warranty...right?
Well would you believe theres a higher chance your doorbell rings in the next 30 seconds and Carrie Underwood is standing there buck naked!

Lol.....nah, I know they won't replace them. I think brake warranty is 1 year/20k. What do you mean crazing?

This also JUST occured. Everything was all good up until a few weeks ago when I stopped going to work and the truck only moved about once a week.

Common for rotors on sitting vehicles. Moreso if you're parked on dirt or grass.

Sits on a concrete driveway. Is it cause for concern? Will it slowly wear away?

Granted I’m looking at the pic on my phone but are you sure it’s not some really bad deposits from the pads? Have you tried to scrape any of it off? It looks like some really bad glazing.

Not sure if it's pad deposit or not. I'll see if I can scrape any when I take the winters off.

This only appeared tho once the truck started to sit though, that's what makes me think its rust. I just figured it should all wear away after a bit of driving.

Braking feels good too.

Most OEM rotors are not made of stainless so the will rust. The rust on the braking surface will go away as soon as you hit the breaks after getting up to speed. It’s completely normal. If it bothers you, drive the truck every other day or so.

That’s not rust. The more I look I’m convinced it’s paid deposits...AKA glazed rotors.
