Default Rust issue

recently i shipped my truck

unfortunatly when i recieved it it was damaged from the roof with so paint chipped off and scratches

my concern now is what to do temporarly to prevent rust from happening or spreading

any opinion guys?! really need help

It's aluminum. It doesn't rust.

i thought so too but can't make sure

i read somewhere that aluminum do rust too but take longer time than steel

Well, first of all, it's an aluminum body truck, so the typical orange/brown rust that you're probably concerned about won't happen at all. Aluminum will oxidize (rust) when exposed to oxygen, but that oxidation (aluminum oxide) is almost invisible and will make a microscopic oxygen proof barrier that will prevent further oxidation.
A bigger concern is galvanic corrosion, but you don't have to worry about that from the description of the damage. Sounds like it's mostly a cosmetic concern now.

Put some clear nail polish or clear model paint on the scratch if it makes you feel better; it should stop any corrosion and be easy to remove when you have it fixed. You can get paint touch up pens, too.
