Default Rough Country Leveling Struts - Issues

About 18 months ago, I put a set of 2” leveling struts from Rough Country on the front of my ‘17 F150. It seems like over time they have compressed back to factory height? I’m not sure if that’s even possible but my ride height is back to 3 inches lower in the front than in the back, exactly how it was when I got the truck. Any ideas? I’m considering reaching out to Rough Country for a refund or replacements.

That sucks. Seems like those are still covered under warranty. I would doubt they’ll refund your money though. Replacement is more likely. Did you just notice this suddenly? No change in ride?

The ride hasn’t changed at all. I honestly think it gradually happened over time, I just recently put a tape measure to it and noticed what happened. I was looking through old pictures of how the truck looked right after I installed them and I thought “wait a minute....”

You purchased the whole coilover assembly that was installed as a unit, not pieces/parts that had to be assembled first?
Are both left and right equally sagged?
Seems very odd that in such a short period of time both units failed equally.
You haven't raised the rear with spacers and forgot you did that? LOL

For those that have also installed a 2" coilover -what is the measurement from center of hub to fender for them to compare to? This doesn't care what tire you have installed, it's the actual distance of the suspension system. apples to apples between different vehicles.

Wow. Makes me glad I decided to go with the spacer for the lift instead of the lifted struts.

I purchased and installed each side as an entire assembly. I just removed the old strut and installed the RC strut that was supposed to level the truck 2”. Both are equally sagged now and I didn’t raise the rear of the truck.

My current measurement for center hub to bottom of fender is 24 1/2” in the rear and 22 1/4” on both sides in the front. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe factory height in the front is 22”? That would mean I’m missing 1 3/4”. Images below.

My bone-stock, non-leveled 2020 non-FX4 measures 22.5" front hub center to fender lip. Just for comparison.

Isn't Rough Country the house brand of Realtruck? Might give them a call.

Update:
Rough Country is sending me a new set of struts. I'm reluctant to install them because I don't want to run into the same issue in another 18 months. I guess I have 3 options here:
1) Install the replacement struts and hope they don't fail on me.
2) Sell the new set and just leave the truck as is, pocketing the cash.
3) Sell the new set and use the money to buy spacers and install those using my factory struts.

Leaning towards option #3 but I'm not sure which spacers to go with. Any ideas?
