Roof channel corrosion?

Roof channel corrosion?
Hey guys,
I’ve always noticed this, I figured it’s just dirt stuck in the channel so didn’t give any mind to it. But today I tried using a detailing brush and noticed it looks like paint is chipped and has spots in it. I have about 42k miles on my truck, it’s a 2018. Not sure if warranty would cover this.
I appreciate any Input. TIA!

thank you!
it looks like this would fall under;
- Aluminum Panels on 2015 F150s, 2016 cars & light trucks, and beyond vehicles, corrosion damage is covered for 5 years/unlimited miles with no requirement for perforation.
the roof channel here made of aluminum right?
thank you!

However,
I don’t think that falls under corrosion. It looks like the paint is just flaking off due to an adhesion issue. There have been a number of trucks that have had this issue. Unless under bumper to bumper, I don’t think ford will do anything about it.

ahhh that sucks. Good thing it’s aluminum,(no rusting!) so it should be ok for me to just clean the area with alcohol and hit it up with touch up paint?
thank you for your input!!

Hate to say it but I think they’re all like that. Mines is the same; been like that since I bought it and hasn’t gotten any worse.

My old 2008 F150 was white and was doing this along where the bed met the bed rail. It grew ever so slightly, but I kept it from growing much for about 10 years.
