Default Road trip!

This summer I will be taking a road trip from south Louisiana to the PNW, then on the way home take a trip down the coast of Cali and cut across to get back home once I hit San Fran.

Have any of you made long trips in your F150? Any tips, or suggestions of things you wish you would have done or brought along the way?

I currently have a Retrax roll top bed cover I'm trying to sell, and thinking of purchasing a Softopper to use. Would be nice when it comes to taking quick naps and what not.

Man that looks like an epic trip!!! Longest I've done was 4.5 hours. Very comfortable and no complaints. Wife had her phone tethers in with her unlimited data plan and played great music the whole way. Kids spread out in the back and didn't complain once which is rare. Revolver X2 kept everything secure and easy to access. No complaints at all.

I've done a few 6+ hour trips, and I agree... Very comfortable.

Looks like that is going to be a great trip!

If you have time to do some off roading in Southern California there are some great trails, and Death Valley is AWESOME!

Only other tip is while you are there, don't call San Francisco, "San Fran". haha Quickest way to give away that you aren't from there.

Nice!! so far i have never done a road trip in my f150, but i had a coast to coast trip in my previous car - Jeep wrangler. it was quite comfortable apart from the road noise( mud tires..) , of course, after 30mins, u dont hear it anymore. I think the key to a road trip is about the seating position, make sure you sit straight up.

The PCH can be very slow going but beautiful sights. I would catch yellowstone or at least drive through it on the way up. Maybe a bit less PCH to save time.
