Road Paint
Goo be gone is another safe way. I've used that as a lubricant for the clay bar with good results for tough spots. Do not use your finger nail. You will need to clean area when done and re apply wax/sealant where the goo gone was used.
Some road paint is really tough stuff. Get back to us if the above doesn't work. You may need to move on to mineral spirits and or a plastic rarazor blade. Think about....if it will stick to a road surface, for sure it will stick to your truck's finish.

Hey guys. Still looking for the clay bar. Tried WD40 and it did not help. I had read on some other sites that lacquer thinner works and won't harm modern car paints, so I gave it a try. Came right off....only tried a couple of sections on the painted area of the wheel well edges...but seems like a winner.
Not sure where you live but.....Had this issue way back in 94 with a 93 Z71 PU truck. I tried to get off the road paint, with no luck. Went to the township where it happened, and they paid for it to be removed. Told me to take it to a detail shop , and give them the bill. I was shocked, and happy @ the same time. Worth a try for you to check anyway.
