Risks of Level Kit
I've been toying around the idea of doing a 2" level kit on my brand new 2018 XLT Sport. I have owned trucks in the past, but never leveled any of them. Are there any risks associated with a 2" level kit? Any con's? I've read about gas mileage being affected, but anything more serious? I'd be interested to hear your opinions and experiences. Thanks!
You are going to stress the front of the trucks suspension more, so you may see accelerated wear on some of the CV's and bushings. Also if you frequently tow or have a load in the bed you will see some reverse rake.
Other than that I can't think of any other negatives. This is my second leveled truck and no issues so far.

All that I have read and researched says as long as you don't go over 2.5" on a level then all your suspension components should be unaffected. I'm in the process of leveling mine now. My OCD kicked in on it and I have researched the f*** out of it. Excuse the language but it seemed fitting here. LOL
Previous truck had level and I wouldn't do it again.
Stress on front suspension components, firmer ride with some bump steer, loss in fuel economy which wasn't a deal breaker as it's a truck!, Raising front end and keeping stock rims and tires or sizes looks not very good IMO.
But on the flip side leveled looks great, especially with larger tires.
But that is just my opinion

If you only want to get rid of the rake and your not planning on going to bigger tires, you can do what I did and just remove the blocks from the rear springs. Very simple job and doesn't cost a cent and looks darned near as good as a levelling kit.
Now the top of my rear wheel wells are only 1 1/4" higher than my front and it's hardly noticeable.
