Reverse tilt mirror - FAIL!
I have a hard time saying "I give up" but I'm close. I have read everything on here about the auto reverse tilt mirror mod but have not been successful yet after 7 or 8 attempts. I have made several other mods using Forscan so I am comfortable with the software and how to use it. I have modified the DDM and PDM to the correct values from the spreadsheet. Tried F and FC on 740(1)-13-01. But when I try the calibration method the mirrors never tilt down. Ignition on, push memory button, select mirror, truck in reverse, nothing. This is the same problem as whoopido and I tried the calibration suggested by antho.
If anyone has a 2018 King Ranch and would be willing to share their Forscan values for DDM and PDM and any insight into the magic that made this happen I would be grateful.

I had the same problem with my 2018 Platinum. Somebody sent me the ridiculous procedure and it didn't work. Tried it again, and somehow, it did. I agree it should work as soon as you record the values, like other changes. But it doesn't. I went back to stock, set the values again, and after the 2nd try, they worked. I suggest to try again. You can check you have the correct values on all 4 lines, and if you do, try the procedure again. Or just leave it there, and maybe after the second time they'd work. Maybe that's what happened with mine. Good luck.
I couldn't really get it working on my 16 Lariat either. It "kind of" works, but I gave up on it for now as it is just too cold outside to be sitting in the truck playing with FORscan. I have done a bunch of other changes that worked just fine: No ding, ding, ding, no double honk, secure idle, 5 signal lane change, multi-coloured Sync, and digits over temp gauges.
Of all the Forscan changes I have done on my 2015 this one was the most tricky to get right,, took a few times of doing it till it was working right. But once set it has been trouble free and very handy..
But for me it was getting the memory locked in,, not your problem of not getting the mirrors to start the tilting process.. My advice is to keep trying..
You do know that you have to be in reverse and then select which mirror you want to tilt right? It’s not a auto tilt when in reverse.

I realized that after. I thought that they would auto tilt down when going into reverse. I wish I didn't have to select which mirror I wanted to tilt. I want them to both tilt down everytime!
The issue is that the instructions on how to calibrate it aren't that clear. I posted in another thread a few months back about what I had to do to get it to work. Copy and pasting my post below...
Just enabled the auto reverse tilt side mirror, and had heck of a time doing it because it seemed like it didn't program correctly on my F150. Frustrated, I went back into the house, then tried it again 10 minutes later and learned that I had to exit the truck, lock it, unlock it in order for the programming to stick. Had to do the same get out of truck, lock it, unlock it, and get back in for the reverse mirror tilt calibration to stick as well.
So below is my steps of how I had to program the auto reverse tilt mirrors, and it might help future members.
Enabling Reverse Mirror Auto Tilt
1) Program the DDM & PDM module according to Livinitup's spreadsheet. Cycle the ignition on/off as Forscan tells you to, then disconnect Forscan from the truck.
2) Exit and lock the truck.
3) Unlock the truck and get back in the truck.
4) Start up the truck, put it in reverse, and select the left/right mirror button, and be amazed that now your F150 has auto reverse tilt!
Now when it comes to calibrating the reverse auto tilt mirror, I also had to exit, lock and unlock the truck for the mirror adjustment to stick. I just appended my exit lock/unlock steps from above to the calibration steps found in this massive thread.
Calibrating Reverse Mirror Auto Tilt
1) Switch the ignition on
2) Press the memory button (1, 2, or 3)
3) Select the mirror you want to adjust
4) Put your foot on the brake, shift your vehicle into reverse (R) and let the mirror automatically tilt until it stops. Do not start up the truck!
5) When the mirror is in its tilted position and is no longer moving, adjust it with the controls to however you want the mirror to be when it is tilted down.
6) Hold the memory button for 5 seconds to save the setting
7) Press the mirror button and return to park (P)
8) Hold memory button again
9) Exit and lock the truck.
10) Unlock the truck and get back in the truck.
11) Start up the truck, put it in reverse, and select the left/right mirror button, and be amazed that now your F150 has auto reverse tilt!

I don't want to sidetrack this post, but can someone explain to me the advantage of having auto tilt full time? If I need it I just use the 3rd memory button that I have set for this purpose. For me it is just one push of the button to get there and I don't have it happening when I don't want it. There has to be times when it is not beneficial.

I was just about to do this mod but the 3rd memory button actually does make more sense! Hadn’t thought of that.
