Reverse Sensing System
Does anyone know how Ford determines which vehicles come with Reverse Sensing System? I have a 2019 XLT 302A that did not have it. I've seen some F-150s with it, and some that don't (even some lariats that don't have it). For $295, I would think that at least XLT and above would have it. Can it be added (either by Ford or third party) where it would work the same as factory installed?
My Lariat doesn't have it. In order to add it like the factory, as far as I know, you have to replace your BCM. Not worth it to me. I can maneuver well enough with the camera.
302a used to come standard with it. Ford made it an option for the 2019 model year. Ford likes to take standard equipment away and make them options to raise transaction prices.

Just to add another data point. I have a 2019 F150 XLT with equipment group 300A. It has two rear sensors in the chrome bumper. The dealer invoice - not window sticker - shows the sensors, along with the 100v/400w outlet, which I also have, as Fleet Only. This truck was a fleet order that failed to sell and sat on the lot for 10 months.

Ford has taken a lot of features out of the 302A package. My 2016 included the sliding rear window, auto dimming driver's side mirror, and rear park aid assist. Now you have to buy another package to get the sliding rear window and the other two are not available on the XLT.
