Question Reverse proximity tones

Two questions... one, can I re-calibrate the sensors? and two, can I fix the right rear speaker (gives a very odd crackling tone)

More info: I've noticed that the left side sensors alarm sooner than the right. Hoping I can get them the same and maybe increase the distance a bit. When the tones to sound, the right rear speaker sounds like it's going through puberty... even though music sound great all the time, with all volumes.

I wasn't a fan of the volume of the backup chimes through the speakers so used FORscan to forward them to IPC speaker which is much softer.

Under IPC this is register 720-01-01 XXXX XXX0 XXXX
Note - this also maps all other chimes to the smaller IPC speaker.

Not sure if this helps

Does this make it quieter as well? The backup proximity sensor alert is WAY too loud.
I've heard a few times when the 'doo-doo-doo' comes through the IPC instead of the audio speakers when applying forscan updates and the IPC restarts.

Yes sir, that's why I did it. All chimes go through IPC speaker instead and are much quieter

I just want to turn the damn things off. If I hit something with a backup camera AND tow mirrors AND a rearview mirror... I don't need to be driving a truck. I hate that it mutes my phone or music if I get too close.

Those chimes have saved me from hitting a trailer tongue while backing in the rain after dark. There are some conditions during which neither the camera nor any mirrors are going to do right by you when you need to back, and the only thing that will save you outside of the object sensors is having someone stand out in the rain with a radio to guide you in.

You have the option to disable reverse warning each time you put the truck into reverse if you feel chimes are too feminine for ya

This can be done in Forscan. Keep in mind it also turns off the "advanced" backup display when you shift into reverse (the small truck indicator in the upper right corner that changes colors)

I'll look for the register to disable if interested.

Yes - this icon. When you remove back up sensors via Forscan you loose this as well
