For those of you who bought the VLED reverse lights, can you share some pics of how you ran the wires and tapped into the reverse circuit? I want to go with the VLED option, just want to see how you guys installed yours. Thanks!

@kountryranger I took out the lockable cover to lower the spare tire and dremmeled out the side just a bit. Enough so that I could run the wire through and still put the lock back in place. I'll see if I can find a pic of it and post it later. Also, I ran mine over to the passenger side taillight (as it was closer) and wrapped the excess wire around the frame up under the truck.

That's it right there. I thought it was as clean as I was going to get without drilling a larger hole behind the license plate.

Huanab:
Wanted to advise I followed your set-up (in Post#15) for the reverse light bar & install was flawless. Used the posi-con wire connectors to tap into Pin 7 & the Ground wire on Trailer Connector.
After comparing my pics to yours I noticed the light on my tailgate handle wasn't lit-up like yours. Another reason it's been dark back there I guess. Thursday ordered the LED light module from Ford----- US$98 & tax. Sucks that only Ford can provide that part.

huanab & others...
Thank you for posting this info... I bought the light bar and on Amazon and had this installed in under 15 min. It works GREAT! And solves one of my biggest issues with the poor camera quality and lack of light when backing up at night.

One thing I am now questioning though, from your picture... when my truck is running and the door is open, the white light over SCREW window (bed light) and the light next to the backup camera are both lit, so I know they are both good. Once I close my door, they slowly fade out. All as expected. When I shift into reverse, my new light works wonderfully... BUT, the light next to the camera does not come on like it appears yours does in the picture above. I have a 2016 Lariat. I am wondering if Ford changed the way this works on years after 2016? Of if this is a forescan setting? I am sure this made my camera hard/impossible to use before I put the new light on. Does this light next to camera come on for anyone else while in reverse?
