Have wife ride on back bumper with a dry rag in her bra. Train her to use dry rag on camera when you put truck in R.

Yeah. I just wipe it off on my way bye. FWIW no camera's are great when they are covered in water. This isn't really F-150 specific. Our VW is the best vehicle for a rainy camera but that's because it's hidden behind the rear emblem and pops out when needed. My Nissan work van is the worst, its barely usable on good days.

Yea sorry man. Just being funny. You are not the first to complain of this. I have the small screen on my truck and sometimes I can see water drops. But really never had much problem.

Mine sucks! I find i have to clean it often too.
My (kids) Subaru Impreza's works much better in rain, and never felt the need to clean it either.

Rain-X it and give it a quick wipe with your thumb every time you walk behind the truck.

Do what we did 25 years ago when we didnt have back up cameras? Turn your head and look? Use mirrors? Shoulder check?

I have also gotten in the habit of wiping off the camera every time I walk behind my truck. In the winter here my truck is grimy most all the time due to all the junk anti-skid on the roads. The tailgate gets it the worst. This is where the reverse sensors and BLIS come in real handy - plus also doing what is right and using your mirrors, turning your head, and.....using your head. I will never totally depend on these cameras and sensors - they are merely an aid.

I have these things that the DOT apparently says are mandatory...3 of them! 1 on each side and 1 in the middle. I think they're called mirrors. I use them to back up anyway. Oh and I turn my head too!
The backup cam, like BLIS......tis but a TOOL, it is not a REPLACEMENT for mirrors, turning head/looking, etc.
