Default Retrofitsource HID

A couple months ago I installed a set of the retrofit source HID ballasts, HD relay, bulbs and anti flicker capacitor link. Ever since the install the driver side headlight sometimes doesn't go on when I start the truck. Basically sometimes I start the truck and only the passenger side is on and if I shut off headlights and switch them back on the driver side will usually come on and stay on. I was hoping that this was a fluke and wouldn't happen again but months later it continues to happen. Any ideas what could be the problem?? No issues on the passenger side to date.

Probably the ballast. Have you contacted TRS to see about a possible replacement?

Haven't yet... I'll have to do that tomorrow. Going to be annoying to replace it due to the location I mounted it but whatever I guess I'll have to.

I don’t think they’re open tomorrow. But they’ve been great the times I’ve had issues. I have the morimoto HID setup. I haven’t had issues with the HIDs, but I did have an issue with the morimoto fogs when I had them. They shipped my a new foglight after verifying a couple things.

That would probably be the easier of the two to replace

TRS has some of the best customer service I've ever dealt with. Had some halo's in fog lights that kept going out on my last truck, they prolly sent me 4 sets free lol

I had the same thing happen to me. It was the igniter the first time. I diagnosed it by swapping parts back and forth between the two lights. The second time it was my fault, I didn't use dielectric grease on the connections and I live in Oregon, you know where they invented rain. Well, the pins inside one of the connectors was rusted. so I filed them a little exposing new metal, lathered them up with dielectric grease and viola. There customer service is top notch like others have pointed out. They stayed on the phone with me and helped diagnose the issue.
