Default Resonator delete?

Has anyone looked into deleting their resonator yet? I did it on my last F-150. I did buy the Supercrew with the 6.5' box on both trucks and ordered the 2010 delete pipe for my '13. It looks like the the pipes are the same size, but will match up after I add pipe to the old delete pipe.

Had not thought of that yet.

I never deleted on my last truck but did consider it. Ended up trading and already think the '15 sounds a lot better than the '11 did.

I just took it to a muffler shop. He welded in a delete pipe. He kept my stock flange also. That way if I ever wanted to change the exhaust I could just un-bolt it. It made a difference in sound. It has more of a rumble to it. Although I do have a aftermarket muffler. That helps also.

I have been researching this a lot recently. I have found a few threads talking about deleting the resonator, but it seems like most people do it in combination with a cat back system. I have the 3.5 ecoboost and plan on deleting the resonator, but keeping the stock exhaust for now.

I have been trying to decide between purchasing the Corsa resonator delete pipe, an OEM delete pipe, or having a local shop fabricate one. The best price I have found for the Corsa is $194. The local shop quoted me around $150 to fabricate the pipe with a flange welded on so it can be removed. I do not think I want the OEM because it is only a 2.5 inch pipe compare to a 3 inch pipe from Corsa.

As of now, I am lenaing towards the Corsa.

So I'm probably gonna take my 3.5 eb into a muffler shop tomorrow and have them cut out my resonator for 60 bucks...anyone else have this done and happy with the results?

There was a thread last week with sound clips on exhaust option for the Eco and I was surprised at how good the delete sounded.

There's also an option made by Walker. Part # is 53901. It's the intermediate pipe (no resonator) for 2009-2010 trucks. Pricing is only $40. To me that make much more sense than how much they want for the OEM/Corsa pipes.

I have one on order and it should be in next week. I bought my truck second hand and the resonator was already deleted in addition to the OEM tailpipe cut right after the rear axle. I actually went back all stock, but now I miss the sound of the turbos and the slightly louder startups. Looking forward to getting it on the truck.

removing the resonator with stock muffler won't make too much of a difference. the other way around though, and you'll wake up some babies when ur wot
