Default Replacement system for Ford Remote Access

I have a 2015 F-150 with the Ford Remote Access system that is being discontinued in December 2020. I would like to find a good, reliable aftermarket alarm system with cell phone enabled remote start that can be installed professionally, work on a 4G or 5G network and will NOT require a goofy aftermarket FOB because I like the functionality to be able to open my tailgate with the OEM FOB.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a system that I can have installed that meets the above requirements? Thanks for you help!

Drone Mobile. Better system than FordPass, IMO.

if you’ve got Sync then upgrade your truck with ford connect, no service fees a little hardware to install.

if you don’t have remote start currently then that module can be added with the security module and use same keys (did on my 2019) I just have to push lock unlock and lock and it starts. I’m waiting on my TCU to arrive then I’ll just use my cell or watch to start it whenever.

I had it installed on my 2016 Focus 5-speed. The base unit is Compustar, and that is one of the few companies that have remote start products for manual transmission vehicles. Local place did a great job.

The app is much better, and faster, than FordPass. You don't get fuel level or tire pressure monitoring, but you get feedback on if your doors are locked or unlocked, and the interior temperature of the vehicle. There is also a geofencing feature if you have younger drivers. You can set up alerts if the vehicle leaves a certain area or exceeds a speed limit you set.

Ford Connect doesn't work for my truck as it's a 2015 Lariat and running an older version of Sync which is not supported on Ford Connect. I do have the Ford Connect app on my cell phone, but cannot remote start, lock or unlock my truck with it. Are you saying that with Sync 2 I can install some hardware and make it work?

I'm also going to be out remote access when my subscription ends at middle of November.

I'm looking at the Drone Mobile DR-5400 Module, seems like it might be the only required hardware to add to existing factory remote start but I haven't found a definitive answer on that. Anybody try this module on an F150 with factory remote start?

Edit: more reading, it does not work with factory remotes start. That sucks.

Just ordered:
CARLINK ASCL6 Remote Start Cellular Interface Module Allows You to Start Your car from Your Phone 1 Year Included CARLINK ASCL6 Remote Start Cellular Interface Module Allows You to Start Your car from Your Phone 1 Year Included

Fortin EVO-FORT4 Stand-Alone Add-On Remote Start Car Starter System for Ford IKT Round Metal Key Vehicles Fortin EVO-FORT4 Stand-Alone Add-On Remote Start Car Starter System for Ford IKT Round Metal Key Vehicles

Fortin Flashlink 4 (Newest Version) Bypass Module Firmware Update Bootloader USB Flash Link Fortin Flashlink 4 (Newest Version) Bypass Module Firmware Update Bootloader USB Flash Link

This should communicate with the factory remote start and the subscription is the cheapest I've found. The Fortin units can also be paired with Viper, Compustar, etc. They have a list of compatible devices on their site.

Search out this post:

Added Cellular Remote Start to my Lariat

Ford should make it right and allow a no charge exchange for a 4G LTE RMU, straight swap Essentially that's what I've purchased as the CARLINK is made by VOXX.

Instead, I wasted money on their parts, and now have to go about this myself. UGH
