Default Replacement radiator / intercooler

Two deer in 8mos...

This second one took out the grille area, so insurance will be buying me an oem radiator and intercooler (among other things). For the same/similar money, is there a better choice for either?

3.5 w/max-tow, though I never do. Maybe there's a trans cooler too? Mild Brew City tune as soon as I get it back.

Cooling has never been an issue, just don't want to miss the opportunity to go back with better. Don't have values from ins yet, but not looking to spend (much) out of pocket.

'15 with 3.5EB...what other 3.5 would have an intercooler, or be part of a max-tow package?

3 generations of 3.5 ecos in F150s. My 2012 and 2018 both had 3.5 eco and max tow. pre 2018 may have differences between a 2012/13 and 2018 and later. Also, I believe 2017 and prior had 6 speeds, 2018 and later is 10 speed. May affect what types of coolers you have/placement, etc. So definitely a legit question.

Yes, needed to know the truck year because 2nd gen 3.5 (2017+) do not offer any front mounted trans cooler that I know of, even on tow packages. They use a water to oil cooler underneath. Since you have a 2015 then I think there is one available.

I have a 2017 2nd gen 3.5 EB max tow with the aux trans cooler with the 10R80 transmission. The cooler seems to be the same as what’s used in the Raptor trucks of the same year. I definitely don’t have the water/oil cooler that the ‘18+ trucks have.

Anyway, it is very important to list exactly what truck you have so that an appropriate recommendation as to radiator/transmission cooler can be given. Without that information, the only thing we can do is just guess…

Did Ford use grille shutters on the 2015"s? Just had my 2019 front end repaired and the dang grille shutters took a month to arrive. The other body shop that looked at my truck made the same statement at the time about grille shutters holding up some of his repairs. Darn shutters must have chips or something in them as my Ford Pass on my phone went nuts when the body shop disconnected the original ones.

Yes, the '15 has shutters. Thanks for the supply chain warning.

Didn't think I needed to eliminate the 12th gen trucks as a possibility, since this is a 13th gen forum...but yes, an early 13th. 6spd, single timing chain, no TBI.

Now that we're clear, any actual suggestions?

Intercooler: Only one option. (Edit not counting aftermarket but I strongly doubt this has any stock engine benefit)

Radiator: there are several options. You should already be receiving the Max Tow part: HL3Z8005B and not the base truck part FL3Z8005B so no "better" choices that I can tell.

For transmission cooler you have some options. There was a thread here discussing this recently. Maybe you can find the SuperDuty part number to go from 4 row to 12 row.
