About the only thing you can do is run the lin calibration feature in Forscan, I may have the terminology wrong, without starting Forscan to see. If the truck comes with a camera, the programing is done already.
My question is that new camera truly a replacement for your camera? How did you find out about it?

Until some one chimes in here that deals in Ford parts, the only way I know that you can be 100% is to take your VIN and get a parts department to cross reference it to the correct camera. You may be able to do this at fordparts.com. Yes, there are many cameras out there, when my wifes Edge and sons Explorer needed a new one, it was under warranty and the dealer said the install was easy and quick, but would have to be programed to the car.

Maybe email TASCA?

I suppose the word programing could be running the calibration routine also. Its already programed to the vehicle, nothing changes there.

Well, I expect I'll find out tomorrow. I have the same problem as the OP. I'm taking it to the dealer to have them look at it. I'll let you know.
Some background: I have the 360 System, so I have cameras on all 4 sides of the truck. I replaced my tailgate camera 5 days ago. When I started the truck I got the "vertical rainbow", but my other 3 cameras still worked. Now, none of my cameras work, although from time to time my tailgate camera will take a "still" picture, like a photograph. Curiously, the pic it takes is NOT what is directly behind the truck. It's a still pic of whatever I passed a few minutes before. Weird.
But like I said, I'll find out tomorrow.

Ok, just left the dealer. Yes, if you replace a camera the system must be reprogrammed. A better word might be "re-synced". At least the 360 system does. According to the dealer all cameras have to be synced to work together as the truck moves. This involves placing special mats on the floor all around the vehicle with special designs on them that the cameras/system recognizes as calibration patterns. Then the program is reloaded.
This process cost me $280 and took about 2 hours. My other cameras all worked fine (at least they did before I replaced the tailgate camera), so I didn't replace them. Everything works perfectly now.
