Just last year a friend of mine had their cowl broken in several places, took months for them to replace it for him. I've heard a bunch of horror stories like you mentioned.

Not to mention if you have tint on the windshield or RFID tags.

if it was me, i would get it repaired, the carlite replacement will not have "soundscreen" printed on the lower left.. i had mine replaced a month ago, a direct carlite replacement and it doesn't have soundscreen printed on it.

I agree. Took a stone hit on interstate and by the time I got home it had spread across the windshield.
