I removed all the stickers and ecoboost badges. Looks way better without imo.

I want to remove decals off my 2016. What are the chances the paint will look different in the area I remove the 4x4 decals?

Looks plain as a stick of butter without them. I'd put them back on. But I like a pin stripe too, so ... just my $0.02 worth.

 

Do you by chance have a photo? Surprisingly I like the look without the decals and am now considering it on my STX

 

Personally, I dislike the look of them being removed. I really like the STX and FX4 stickers best. I don't care for the Sport stickers. This is 100% personal preference... you should do what you like and not worry about what other random people think.

I do have to ask though. You take off the FX4 stickers and leave on the yellow LineX sticker? That one to me would have been the first thing I removed.

Take stickers off one side, and leave them on the other.

Its like being married, and having a g/f. Best of both worlds!! lol

 

Using a blow dryer will make them pliable and able to peel off.

The paint will look the same unless it's been in the sun for a long long time. I peeled a sticker off my truck after it had been on there for 5+ years and no fade.

I use lacquer thinner to get any of the residue, and it won't hurt catalyzed paint, contrary to what people say. I use it to remove tar etc. before I claybar.

 

I didn't ask them to pull the FX4 stickers actually. They were just to pull the pin stripe. I picked it up last night so have not had a chance to pull the linex sticker. Of course they left on their vanity sticker as one of the main things I wanted removed.
