Default Remote starter issues

I have a 2016 XLT with the factory remote start with the 2 way small 2 button remotes. The other day I was fiddling with it and I did some button press that makes it act odd. It was normally push the button twice, and it locked the doors and started. Now it just blinks twice at me after the two button presses. I messed with it a bit more, and figured out three presses holding on the third starts the thing.

What the heck setting did I change inadvertently?

Check the IPC and see if there are settings there for the remote start.

There are, for the seat, the HVAC, duration, and whether the system is enabled or not. That's all.

Two small buttons, given this is a 2016, sounds like the over the counter Ford (added after the truck was built) remote start. Is the remote start part of the keyfob with integrated key or is it the separate remote?

Maybe your fob needs a reset sequence. See if this thread helps you out.

I went through the relearn process also last night. I tried again today, and I can push twice and hold on the second and it will start. I'm not sure what I changed, but as long as it works, I can deal with it I suppose.

I was hoping this one had the system like my old truck that had an aftermarket one where I could do the pit stop mode, keep it running and remove the key.
