Default Remote Start - Air Conditioning Automatically on?

I tried searching for this but why doesn't the Air Conditioning come on when I remote start the truck?

Is there a way to activate this? The lone reason i see value in remote start is starting it to cool it or heat it up prior to getting in it.

Am I doing something wrong?

You can change it in the IPC where it will use the last settings. So you have to remember to crank up the AC before you turn it off.

do you not keep the AC set to on when you turn off the truck?

as long as the AC is on - upon remote start - it will be on. Or should be.

Now I have the manual AC system in mine. So it's on to whatever I left it at sort of wished I had gotten the auto AC setup but don't need it

The instrument cluster, where the speedo and tach are.

Vehicle> Remote Start> Climate Control> Auto or Last Setting

You could set the AC on remote start to auto or manual. Auto will crank your AC on full blast whereas Manual will put the AC on the last setting you left it before you turned off the truck.

The settings is in your dash cluster. Use the keypad on the steering wheel to make your changes.

Hope that helps.

Interesting. I've always had mine set to Auto since I have the habit of turning the a/c off before shutting down the truck, but have never heard it full blast when I get in the truck. The fan is closer to the low setting.
