Default Remote keyless entry compatibility

I'm looking into acquiring a spare intelligent access remote key for my F150 2016 Lariat.

It the 5 buttons remote.

I've found some on ebay but one of the code dont match up.

My remote has the following code "F3LT-15K601-GC".

The ones on ebay have the following code "F3LT-15K601-GB".

So the last letter is different. But the other codes, IC, FCC are identical.

Are these key compatible ?

Is the "B" and older revision perhaps than my "B" ?

I got mine from Amazon for my 13. My locksmith told me to stay clear of eBay and go with Amazon.

I recently bought a used 5-button remote off ebay but mine had F3LT-15K601-GC. It is my understanding that as long as the FCC ID is the same it should work fine.

Watch Ebay. Bought a new remote with blank key (inside remote) from a locksmith who was selling them for $50. Originally from a wrecked Explorer. Exact replacement. Had the key cut by a local locksmith for $10.

I know that I can program a new key in my truck if I already have two working ones...

But I thaught I had to go to the dealer to cut the new key... A simple local locksmith can do this ?

The local locksmith cut my key for $10. But you need to find one with the equipment.....I think it's called a Sidewinder. Also a local hardware store has the cutter. My dealer suggested checking with the locksmith since they needed to order the key from Ford using the VIN. Cost was $85. Remote with cut key from Ford is about $350

I bought one from ebay, then programmed it myself. I stopped by my dealer and had a new spare full sized key and a small key for the fob for $15 including the keys and cutting.

Was your original key a "F3LT-15K601-GC" ?

Was the one you bought on ebay the same code ?

Instead of ordering one from the net, you can go for a professional locksmith that has like about 30 years of experience, knowledge and expertise for all commercial, residential and automotive security needs. There are locksmith LA, lock and key LA or car keys LA locksmith service providers that have a good experience in this. You can get the exact spare remote key for your F150 2016 Lariat. This way you won't be struggling for matching codes.
