Contemplating painting the grille, door handles, and applique either matte black or gloss black. I'm wondering if anyone out there has done one or the other and can share some pictures. I'd like to compare the two.

 

Saved your thumbnail instead of the full size picture, but I'd say going black there looks pretty good. If I were you I'd look into some SE headlights with the black housing, and non-chrome wheels to complete the look.

 

I like the mod. I'll go with a gloss black. Watched some YouTube videos.

Good suggestions on the rest.

Yeah. I just put new tires on in February. I suppose I could just switch out the rims.

Just found this on Amazon. Looks decent with the adhesion promoter primer and the high gloss finish clear.

Go matte black on the grill ( XL grills look good to me ). Then go with the grey wheels for a nice offset in color
I am not a fan of black wheels although tons of folks want to follow the trend.

I do like a red/black look (deleted my chrome grill for a standard black XL grill), but still wanted some color contrast so went with bronze wheels.
