I’ve been having issues with my recirculation button not responding when I select the button, once it actuates the door is fine but sometimes I have to turn the climate control button off 4-5 times before it will turn the recirculation on. I have noticed when’s the cabin gets cooler I can switch it off and on constantly but most of the time it seems to be stuck on outside air. I did have this code currently active. I also have manual climate control. Any ideas? Thanks!!
The in-vehicle temperature and humidity sensor contains a thermistor and a sensing element which separately measures the in-vehicle air temperature and the humidity, then sends those readings to the FCIM. The in-vehicle temperature and humidity sensor has an electric fan within the sensor that draws in-vehicle air across the two sensing elements. The FCIM may adjust the air inlet door based on the in-vehicle temperature and humidity sensor information to maintain the desired humidity of the passenger cabin air.
It is possible that the FCIM is not allowing the inlet door to recirculate because of the humidity level in the cabin. It is dependant on a variety of inputs such as: cabin temperature and humidity, outside air temperature, engine coolant temperature, A/C or heat mode, and possibly others.
