Per Fords website it indicates there is only $2200 in my area northwest. I do see that some lariats are 5k so I am guessing that the rest is dealer discounts?

I will be curious to see how long the supply and demand are not evened out though. Along with all the others, Ford is running a wave of success with some of their ideas and concepts and they are becoming more and more independent and indifferent to people who can't drop 50-60K on a pick up truck. They would just assume those people get saturated into the used market, hence, this is why you are seeing incentives for people for loyalty and trade ins alike.
Here's the thing, I can afford to drop 50K on a new F150, but that doesn't mean I'm going to. If I'm dropping 50 + grand on a car, it's going to be on a BMW, Lexus etc., not on a Ford. Every single one of my vehicles has been a Ford with the exception of my first car which was a Subaru. I'm a huge Ford fan. You made some valid points about the Big Three rolling out new models with increased MSRPs, but I think Ford took it a little too far with their pricing this time. Just my $.02. The quality surely isn't reflected yet.

I paid invoice- rebate(1000)- 80% of hold back for my loaded platinum, I was very happy with my before tax price. How much the governor gets pisses me off alitte.

Honestly, in the long short, does a couple 1000 make or break a deal.... For me it didn't

I tried like crazy to get ANY of the holdback on the truck I just bought. No go! But they gave me an insane value on my trade in! So I agree, in the end, do your best and be happy!

Tax was why are trading our 2013 to the dealer (getting a more than fair trade) vs. selling it otherwise......you only pay tax on the difference between the new vehicle and the trade-in.....far ahead vs. trying to sell privately....IMHO. After all, there are no armored cars at funerals.....smile.

My dealer was offering Xplan for anyone that worked where I work. They asked if I wanted Xplan, I told them there were dealers taking 1k off the top with just a phone call. I offered to let them keep 20% of hold back and they said yes right away. My truck was a special order, and I made not comments that I had any other intention then buying the truck. We made the deal when the truck showed up.

I didn't have a trade. My Audi A4 was an 2002 so I kept it as a town beater to keep the miles low on the truck. I live two miles for work, and park in really small spots so I would prefer that I got dings on my old car vs new truck.

Read the coupon, guessing it will have some language indicating it can't be combined.

They all say that but i know when i talked to a sales person about if the $750 can be used they said yes, but i bet if i ask if both can be used they might just say yes just to get me to go in. i was curious if anyone has had any luck using those two discounts with incentives.
