Rear sensor

Are the sensors clean? Is the tailgate down? Are you in a garage? My sensors on my 07 go off when I'm in my garage backing out as the door frame for the garage door is JUST in range. Just a couple of my guesses. If none of those then have you checked the wires?

The sensors on the 15+ trucks will go off if you have a ball mount in the receiver hitch. (at least it does on mine)

Mine did this earlier this week b4 I cleaned off the snowpack on the rear bumper.
I wiped the sensors in the chrome bumper, but still got the alert tone when truck put into reverse. Stoopid me~forgot the 2 sensors above the hitch. Once I wiped them off put in reverse still got the beep. Put into D then back in R and the alert tone is off. No problems since.

Thanks for all the possible solutions. I have cleaned thoroughly all 4 sensors on the rear of the 2015 F150 Truck. No garage. No hitch. Tailgate up. Rear sensor noise still happening. This has been going on for days. Yes, it has snowed and yes it is cold.

Posts have indicated that in wet weather, followed by cold weather, this sometimes happens. Or, you have a defective sensor. Try hitting each sensor with a hair dryer, or parking with the sun on the sensors. If under warranty, take it in.
