Default Rear end issues

2017 f150 5.0 4x4 XTR trim 200,000kms. 6 rear pinion seals since new and rear pinion bearing done at 110,000 km. Starting to hear another whining noise from rear end, sounds like pinion bearing again. Has anyone else had these issues? If so is there a fix for it besides changing the whole housing?

You need to find the root cause of the leak.

The seal bore can be damaged

The companion flange damaged or scored

The pinion gear spline end machined incorrectly

Seal damaged on install

Companion flange splines not sealed

Original assembly not set up correctly, backlash or preload

Incorrect pinion nut torque

With that many seal replacements and now that its noisy, its time for a full rebuild with new parts and complete housing clean and inspection, or install a good used replacement.
