Question Rear Diff fluid change

I have a 2015 XLT with towing and a 9.75 rear end. Anyone use a non-Motorcraft fluid when changing rear diff fluids? I was looking at Mobil1 75W-90 as it is GL-5 rated but cannot seem to find anyone else using that fluid. Just wanted a second opinion (and I'm sure I'll get lot of them!) before I proceed.

Thanks in advance!

Stick with the motorcraft fluid recommended in your manual. It's not expensive. You gain nothing going to another fluid.

Also consider a gasket, and change the fluid regularly (30-50K miles)

it is synthetic, and I am changing out the cover to a G2 Brute with a built in o-ring seal, dipstick and drain plug so I can change more often without removing the whole cover.

Which Amsoil product did you use for the transfer case? Im about fed up with Ford's poor information to the customer and go all Amsoil as well. Im just afraid to not use Mercon LV in the transfer case because Amsoil doesn't say anywhere thier LV-compatible ATF is OK in transfer cases. (I have the Electronic Shift on the Fly).

Don't have the manual handy but haven't touched the diff in my 18 yet with 90000kms... Don't tow, so wondering if I should be jumping on this asap or don't panic.
